On the heels of a stimulus package that didn’t stimulate much of anything , comes a brand new program designed by the Obama administration to provide gas efficient vehicles to people who couldn’t otherwise afford them.

And once again, the Obama administration appears to either have no brains, no calculators, or no member of the administration living on planet Earth.  Why would the government want to pay dealerships for each car they sell in exchange for “clunkers” under 25 years old?  And then make it seem like they’re doing US a favor?

The all-new Ferrari 458 Italia, 4.5 litre V8 is the first Ferrari direct injection engine to be mid-rear-mounted. Equipped with the traditional flat-plane crankshaft, the engine delivers a mind blowing 562 horsepower and almost 400 lb-ft of torque, redlining at a screaming 9000 rpm and 202 mph top speed. Going from 0-60 in just under 3.4 seconds. This model also takes a major leap forward when it comes to cutting emissions despite the fact that this V8 is much more powerful thn the V8s that preceded it. 458 Italia will be replacing the Ferrari F430.

With every new technology out there, there are people wishing to make a buck. Enter in the confusing world of Biodiesel and you soon see people in long trench coats looking to sell you a conversion kit, a processor and other “necessary” items. The fact remains that any and all diesel engines can and will run on any hydrocarbon placed into their combustion chambers. What kind of oil will dictate the released energy, but as long as it is relatively clean oil and has no other chemicals in it that could be harmful, the engine will run. Because of this diesel engines are very efficient. They can get at least 15-25% or more miles per gallon than a similarly equipped gasoline vehicle.
