WHEEEEE…..

Ok ok, so I have a Wii. I have done like 2k on the super Hula Hoop. I think the balance board is cool and fun when it works right. Recently someone has filed for a patent on a new Wii input device. It appears as if someone is working on a horseback riding game and wants to have the person control the horse by rocking back and forth. Umm you dont ride a horse by rocking… oh forget it. This is the company that has you run in place and the person on the screen runs a marathon.

This “toy” looks lewd and scary all at the same moment. Its kind of like a mix between a balance board and a Sybian. The former doesnt work right half the time as evident by my resounding pwning in Punch Out Wii, the latter is too much fun to mention here. Following are a few more images.

We should know by August 18th that Sony is releasing a cheaper, skinnier better PS3.  No wonder, PS3’s have been running behind in sales of Wii, Xbox360 and worst of all Ps2! Sony’s old Ps2 console is outselling the PS3. Why? Well maybe its the pricetag. You get way more bang for the buck with a PS2 than you do with the Station 3. So no wonder that people have jumped at the cheaper console. Rumor has it that the new slimline version will be announced August 18th at the Cologne Germany game show. Sony is already purchasing tons of new components for PS3.

My last article about Google Chrome OS has striked some immense interest in the software as a service topic. Many believe that it has too many limitations due to the bandwidth or speed of a users connection. Onlive is a service that enables any computer with a web browser and an internet connection to perform some of the most computer intensive applications known to the tech world. Yes that is right Onlive allows any computer regardless of its speed and specifications to play graphically demanding games such as Crysis!

If you’re a gamer like me you know as well as I do that another summer means another Xbox 360 system update. xbox which has added much needed functionality to how Microsoft incorporates Netflix streaming into their console.

Prior to this update you were required to choose the movies you wanted to watch on your Xbox on the Netflix website. You would add them to a queue, and that queue would be viewable on ones console after they linked their account. But this latest update allows the Netflix-Xbox experience to become completely independent of any computer. In other words you are able to choose any movie that Netflix offers directly on the Xbox without first needing to select it on the PC. This helps all of us become more efficient couch potatoes!
