You can get to the south rim by driving 5 hours from Las Vegas or if your budget allows, take an airplane or a helicopter tour of the canyons. It will be money well spent and totally worth it. It is really hard to explain the splendor and magnificence of the Grand Canyon; it is a prospect you must see with your own eyes. Pictures simply do not do justice.
